What is it?
Coenzyme Q10 is a natural substance produced by the body. It is found in all living creatures and in many foods. Along with enzymes, it acts as a catalyst for metabolism. It speeds up the metabolic processes, providing energy to cells to perform countless bodily functions, including the maintenance of healthy muscles. It is used as a general energy enhancer.

Coenzyme Q10 is not an essential nutrient. People with heart conditions taking heart medication should consult their doctor before taking Q10 supplements.
What are the symptoms of mild deficiency?
Deficiency symptoms for coenzyme Q are not well-studied. Deficiency of this nutrient has been clearly associated with a variety of heart problems including arrhythmia, angina, and high blood pressure. Problems in regulating blood sugar have also been linked to coenzyme Q deficiency, as have problems with the gum and stomach ulcers. Symptoms such as fatigue and muscle ache have also been linked to CoQ10 deficiencies.

A dose of 30 mg per day of Co-Enzyme Q10 is sufficient to:
- build energy reserves and help maintain stamina and endurance
- assist energy production
Maximum Recommended Dose
It is recommended that a maximum dose of 150mg per day of Co-Enzyme Q10 not be exceeded.
